An API, or Application Programming Interface, enables one application to communicate with another, allowing different systems to request and exchange specific data in a secure way.
Generating a Double API key allows practices to integrate other platforms (like Anchor or Zapier) with Double.

Generating API key (client ID & client secret)
Admin users have the ability to generate an API key in order to utilize any API integrations with other products.
To generate an API key,
Go to Practice Settings
Go to Practice Management > General (tab)
Select Generate API key
A pop up will appear with your desired credentials
Proceed with copying this information from the pop up immediately. Once the screen is closed, that encrypted information is only accessible on the back end of the Double platform, for security purposes.
