Task Statuses
Updated over a week ago

Task statuses are a way to add a status to each task within a close! These can help you keep a high-level understanding of where each task is at, both in the close itself and on your Task List.

Customizing Task Statuses

To customize your close statuses:

  1. Go to Practice Settings (โš™๏ธ icon)

  2. Click Practice & statements

  3. Click the Tasks tab

  4. Scroll to the bottom, and choose Task status options

You are able to edit current statuses by clicking on the name and saving from there.

Updating Task Statuses

Updating a Task from the Close

Within a close, you can update the status of the task by clicking into the status box. Checking the circle to the right of the task will automatically update the status to 'Done.'

Updating a Task from the Task List

From the Task List, you can click into the cell to choose the corresponding status.

Updating a Task from the Client List

On the Client List, tasks are sorted into columns by their sections. Click into the corresponding cell to see the list of tasks! From there, you can select statuses from the drop down menu to the right of the task.

Canceling / Skipping Tasks

There may be periods where a certain task does not need to get done, a task falls behind and does not need to be completed. For these types of tasks, you can select the "Canceled" status.

To cancel or "skip" a task:

  • Go to the Task Status drop down menu

  • Select Canceled as the task status in order to cancel or skip the task

Canceling a task does not affect the due date schedule of any other tasks.

For instructions on how to rename the Canceled task status, please see Customizing Task Statuses.
